The Third Letter
Preschool and Friendship
Hello my darling,
Three years old already! You’re growing up so fast I can hardly keep up, even from where I am. I hear that this might be the year you start preschool. How exciting is that? A whole world of tiny chairs, bright crayons, and new faces waiting to be your friends. I hope your first day is filled with laughter and a little bit of curiosity, just enough to make you brave, but not scared.
I hope you make friends who share their crayons and snacks with you. Friends you can trust, even at three. The kind who hold your hand when you’re nervous and giggle with you when something funny happens. Hold onto them, love. Good friends are one of life’s best treasures.
If you ever feel shy or uncertain, look for your teacher; they’re there to help you. And your dad too, always. You can ask for help; it doesn’t make you any less strong. Everyone needs a hand sometimes, even grown-ups.
I wish I could see you come home with stories about your day, talking faster than your little mouth can handle. I wish I could see you fall asleep after a long day of play, cheeks flushed from running around. I can’t, but I’m still with you. Always cheering you on, always so proud.
Love,
Ariadne
